Charlie McAvoy had room to step up for the Boston Bruins through the postseason.
He began to just do that in Recreation 4, bringing physicality from the opening minute. The Boston defenseman turned to Recreation 5 and knocked within the game-winning purpose in a 2-1 victory for the Bruins over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday.
That scoring play didn’t come with out controversy as Florida head coach Paul Maurice challenged the decision for goaltender interference on Boston’s Danton Heinen. Finally, the purpose stood and the Bruins held on.
Jim Montgomery noticed his staff lose momentum in related style. He appreciated the Bruins benefiting from such a situation in Recreation 5.

“My ideas have been to ship the best message to the bench, it doesn’t matter what occurs,” Montgomery advised reporters, as seen on NESN’s postgame protection. “(Both) we gotta get one on the facility play or let’s simply hold enjoying, subsequent play and subsequent shift. It hasn’t been going our method. It was good that one did.”
Boston certainly acquired a break when the staff actually wanted one to maintain the season alive. Now for the Bruins, it’s on to the following.
