System 1: Natalie Robyn leaves function as FIA chief govt officer after simply 18 months


Ben Sulayem has been embroiled in a collection of different controversies since he was elected in December 2021.

Robyn didn’t reply to requests for remark from BBC Sport.

The FIA quoted her in an announcement saying: “Performing within the function of CEO on the FIA has been an infinite privilege and I’m grateful to have directed a programme of restructuring and reform.

“Now could be the time to step away within the information that the organisation is best positioned for the challenges which lie forward.”

The FIA assertion mentioned Robyn had “spearheaded a complete overhaul of the federation’s operational construction, enjoying a pivotal function in modernising the FIA, enhancing governance, and securing sustainable monetary stability”.

Robyn, a former automobile business govt for Volvo, Nissan and DaimlerChrysler, began work for the FIA in late 2022, and her recruitment was described on the time by Ben Sulayem as “a transformative second for our federation”.

Ben Sulayem mentioned in an announcement about her departure: “Natalie’s appointment was notable as the primary CEO within the historical past of the FIA. She has contributed enormously to a wide-ranging reorganisation of our operational and administration construction in addition to our monetary sustainability.”
