The San Diego Padres‘ beginning rotation took a blow Saturday with right-handers Yu Darvish and Joe Musgrove each positioned on the 15-day injured record.
Darvish is out with a left groin pressure that pressured him from a begin Wednesday. Musgrove is headed again to the IL with continued triceps and elbow discomfort.
The Padres recalled a pair of right-handers in Randy Vasquez and Logan Gillaspie from Triple-A El Paso. Vasquez will begin Saturday’s highway recreation in opposition to the Kansas Metropolis Royals instead of Musgrove, who made two begins after coming back from a triceps pressure.
Darvish’s open spot within the rotation will come up once more Tuesday in a highway recreation in opposition to the Los Angeles Angels.
