London Cavalry Horses Recovering Nicely


It’s a cheerful ending to what might have been a tragic consequence; British Military horses careening down the streets of London after being spooked and tossing their riders.

The incident occurred this previous April twenty fourth when 5 British horses from the Family Cavalry Mounted Regiment (HCMR) took flight after noise from a close-by development set triggered them to panic and bolt. The terrifying viral video exhibiting two of them, Cavalry Black Trojan and Cavalry Gray Vida, working unfastened, lined in blood, by way of the streets of London made world headlines.

Vida and one other horse, Quaker, sustained the worst accidents; one required surgical procedure and 24-7 care at an equine hospital. Since that point, the three different horses had been deemed match sufficient to journey and had been taken to The Horse Belief, a nonprofit retirement and rescue group, within the countryside to obtain respite care.

“Three of the horses injured within the incident at the moment are again on responsibility and, towards all expectations, are wanting probably to participate within the King’s Birthday Parade on fifteenth June,” Lieutenant Colonel Mathew Woodward, Commanding Officer HCMR mentioned in a press release.   He goes on to say that the remaining two, Vida and Quaker, are having fun with a summer time vacation within the Chilterns because of The Horse Belief. “They’re anticipated to make a full restoration and we sit up for seeing them again on responsibility in the end.”
