There’s been lots of dialog these days regarding Bronny James and the dangerous follow of nepotism. This dialogue has been amplified after the Los Angeles Lakers introduced the younger man aboard, presumably to play along with his dad, LeBron James.
Nevertheless, at each flip, the Lakers have seemed to be huge followers of Bronny. And now, they’re clearly beginning to put their foot down about what they really feel is an unfair label for a way the rookie paved his option to the NBA.
Through the Lakers’ introductory press convention of their 2024 NBA draft picks Dalton Knecht and Bronny on Tuesday, new head coach JJ Redick went out of his option to speak up Bronny’s talent set. He didn’t mince his phrases.
Redick went so far as to say that Bronny “earned” his manner onto the Lakers, an unsubtle nod towards the underlying nepotism dialogue:
“Bronny has earned this by way of exhausting work… There’s lots to love about his sport”

No matter how Bronny obtained to the NBA, it appears fairly apparent the Lakers consider in his potential to be a top quality rotation participant. I extremely doubt all of that is lip service, and it’s cool to see them having his again.
