Nimzowitsch-Larsen Assault [1.b3 Chess Opening For White]

As we speak I’d wish to reveal one among my favourite chess openings for blitz video games: the Nimzowitsch-Larsen Assault. This opening begins with the transfer 1.b3, adopted by 2.Bb2.

Although it’s thought of unconventional, the Nimzowitsch-Larsen Assault is definitely a quite simple setup. Your opponents are sometimes unprepared, and you’ve got loads of attention-grabbing tips and traps at your disposal.

The ‘sniper’ bishop on b2 will harass your opponent’s items long-term. Initially, it places strain on Black’s central pawns, and later, when you’ve castled, the bishop helps a strong kingside assault.

I’ve been enjoying this opening for a number of years with nice success, successful over 95% of my blitz video games.
