Dornoch, Nationwide Treasure Lead First Ballot of 2024 Breeders’ Cup Basic Contenders



Every week a panel of media members, horseplayers, and Breeders’ Cup World Championships officers launch a ballot tabulating their votes on the nation’s prime contenders for the 2024 Longines Breeders’ Cup Basic. The rankings are a weekly ranking of the highest 10 horses in competition and are decided by every voter rating their prime 10 horses with factors assigned on a descending 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 foundation.

The primary week of the 2024 Breeders’ Cup Basic rankings are led by prime older horse Nationwide Treasure and prime 3-year-old Dornoch.

The rankings shall be up to date every week. The outcomes of the newest ballot are beneath.
